1. Sample class
A 30-minute trial class given to the student for free called sample class. This is how the student chooses the tutor. Usually, 2 tutors compete for the slot. Each tutor has to do his or her best to win the student.
2. Cut-off
A cut off is posted to the tutor’s chat box by Mr. Kevin after the student chooses the tutor that he/she likes best. Receiving a cut-off means the student likes your class and has decided to study with you. A cut-off is equivalent to 20 full hours. It takes approximately 4 weeks for a cut-off to be completed. 5 weeks if there are delays or cancellations.
A cut off looks like this:
“THE FIRST CUTOFF OF ANGELINA-JENNY2 IS 20HOURS FROM APR18”
In the cut-off above, Angelina is the tutor, Jenny2 is the student.
Starting date is April 18 and if the classes would be delivered efficiently without cancellation or delay, the cut-off will end in 4 weeks (20 working days)
3. Class Attended
If 55 minutes of class has been delivered successfully
If the class has been done successfully (full 55 minutes), please note like this:

4. CANCELLATION
a. Note as Student’s Absence WITH NOTICE (SAWN)
– if the student informed the management that he or she would be absent. Three absences with notice in 1 cut-off are allowed. In the 4th absence with notice by the student is considered as a PAID CLASS
PLEASE INDICATE THE NUMBER OF CANCELLATION
Example: SAWN 1,SAWN 2,SAWN 3, SAWN 4, etc
b. Note as “STUDENT'S ABSENCE WITHOUT NOTICE” (SAWON 1,2,3….)
-if the student didn’t show up in class and did not notify the management. This is considered as a paid class.
In relation to this, the tutor should ALWAYS call on time. Even if the student appears to be offline. The tutor should send messages continuously for 10 minutes.
See sample below:

IF AFTER 10 MINUTES OF THE SCHEDULED CLASS TIME, THE STUDENT REMAINS OFFLINE, PLS VERIFY WITH MR KEVIN IF THE STUDENT LEFT A CANCELLATION NOTICE.

*F. GIFT CLASSES –
Gift classes are given for FREE for students when the tutor has made excessive absences.
-No gift classes are given if the tutor’s absence is subbed by another teacher.

G. MISSED MINUTES
If in any case, you cannot complete a 60-minute class due to technical problems, (restarting your PC, blackout, internet disconnection, etc…) PLEASE NOTE ACCORDINGLY HOW MANY MINUTES OF THE CLASS HAS BEEN DONE PROPERLY. Give a make-up class at the end of your cut-off.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO GIVE COMPLETE CLASSES. IT’S BETTER THAT YOU GIVE MORE THAN NOT GIVING THE FULL CLASS. EVERY MINUTE IS IMPORTANT.

22 Make up class for missed minutes March 18, class 17 for 30min ---END OF CUT OFF--- |
23
|
Since most students don’t like extending their class time, it is recommended that you give the make-up class at the end of the cut-off, also for those tutors who are having successive classes. Make-up classes should be noted on the student’s chat box. See the sample below:

7. NOTIFICATION:
Please label your calendars properly. TEACHER'S NAME-STUDENT'S NAME-START OF CUT OFF-END OF CUT OFF. Ex. T. Lot and Rebecca Feb 22-March 27
a. One day before the end of the cut off, you should send a notification to Kevin at least one hour before the class starts.
“Good day, Mr. Kevin. Today is the day before the end of the cut-off for Rebecca”

b. On the last day of the cut off, a notification should also be given to Mr. Kevin. It should also include the verifier-approved calendar with your evaluation and recommendation.
“Good day, Mr. Kevin. Today is the end of the cut off for Rebecca”

c. After the cut off has been served, you must submit your final calendar to Miss Renee, Admin Jen. T. Lot and Willy.
6. ASSESSMENT
At the bottom of your attendance sheet, please attach your assessment of your student’s progress in the covered cut-off. Please be detailed by stating the exact areas where the student needs to develop. It’s good to point out the student’s strength but it is also important that we are honest about our student’s performance. Also give recommendation on how to improve the student’s skills.
